Young People & Children

Children and Young People are recognised in their own right as being victims of Domestic Abuse when it has  occurred in their own home. Each child/ young person has an individual response to what they have witnessed and so we ensure that we have a range of courses to cover this. ReConnect and Play is for mums and younger children to have fun together and develop their relationship. ReConnect Together is for mums and older children which explores and strengthens their relationships. We offer 1-2-1 sessions for children who have experienced abuse, these link in with some work with mum re how to support their child.  Escape the Trap is a healthy relationship programme for teenagers which we do either as part of a group or on an individual basis.

Our Childrens and Families worker continually looks at developing our offer and is currently looking at courses to deliver regarding mums and their children who have experienced  Domestic Abuse and them working through this together.
