We’ll work with you to build a unique partnership that plays to your business strengths, helps meet your goals and engages your staff. Every business is different so we believe each partnership should be unique. We’d love to talk to you about some of the ways we might be able to work together.  We can help you come up with or develop great fundraising ideas that relate to your business and can be applied to your work environment.

How you can support us

Charity of the year

Choose Lighthouse to be your charity of the year and focus your fundraising efforts on our cause. We can support you with ideas for fundraising to engage and inspire your team.

Staff Fundraising
Fundraising together is a great way to build your team spirit whether it’s a golf tournament, auction of promises, raffle, tea party, bake off competition or dress down day, there’s lots of different ways you can work together to make a real difference to our cause.

In Kind Gifts
We often run appeals for items that are needed by the families we support such as gifts for children and mums at Christmas. Perhaps you have a product or service that could be donated to one of our raffles.

Could you provide a prominent location for a collection bucket? If you have a busy shop or business why not consider having a counter top tin for us.

Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is a flexible scheme which allows anyone who pays UK income tax to give regularly and on a tax free basis to the charities and good causes of their choice.

Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you’re a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p.

Payroll Giving (also known as Give As You Earn or workplace giving) is a valuable, long term source of revenue, providing regular income to help charities budget and plan ahead more effectively. Employees can choose to support any charity of their choice with a regular donation direct from their pay.

Our Supporter Promise for Corporates

Lighthouse Women’s Aid continues to provide services to women and children dealing with the traumatic effects of domestic abuse because of the support we receive from the community.

We want you to know that we really value your support and in our communications with you we will do all we can to ensure that fundraisers and volunteers comply with our standards and legal requirements.

We hope you’ll want to hear more about our work. We’ll always be clear with you about how we’ll communicate with you.

If you tell us you’d rather not be contacted, or you’d rather we didn’t contact you in a certain way, we’ll act on your wishes.

You can change your mind about what you receive from us at any time – just let us know.

Our fundraising

  • Fundraising is really important to us and we are proud of what it helps achieve. We will constantly review our fundraising practices to make sure they are fair, sensitive and appropriate.
  • We tell the truth and do not exaggerate.
  • We will aim to work at least to the standards set out by regulatory bodies.

About your donation or the money you’ve raised

  • Your donation will be used responsibly to help those affected by domestic abuse.
  • We will keep administration costs to a minimum without compromising the quality of our work, so as much of your donation as possible will be spent directly on service delivery.
  • We’ll answer any question you have about how your donation is spent and clear financial information will be available.
  • We answer all reasonable questions about our fundraising activities and costs
  • We might turn down a donation if we feel that accepting it would damage our independence or reputation. If we do, we’ll explain why.

Our use of your personal details

  • We will always respect your right to privacy and adhere to laws around the use of data.
  • We will not share or sell your details to any other organisations, including other charities.

Our accountability to you

  • Please let us know if you are unhappy with anything we have done whilst fundraising so that we can review our processes and resolve it.
  • We will respond honestly and promptly to your questions and complaints.
